What we do ….
Our mission is joy our medium is colour, and with stunningly hand dyed luxurious yarn, we aim to fulfil that remit. Our yarn bases are chosen for their soft handle, luxurious feel, ethical and sustainable credentials focusing mostly on soft South American Merino wool and safety compliance. We favour natural fibres, blended with mulberry silk, flax linen, mohair or delicious yak. We very rarely use bases that contain Nylon, however, a couple of our silk blend bases (silk does a similar job to nylon, adding strength) can be used for socks if knit at a tight gauge or just for those luxury socks.
Colour dominates our world, we love to explore and find inspiration in our surroundings, for us it’s an Urban landscape, full of moody skylines, complementary materials, such as wood and concrete, water and steel, brick and stone. This is often punctuated by musings on mythology, history and curiosities associated with the London metropolis.
🌟 Join us at Knit & Stitch, Alexandra Palace! 🌟
It’s our biggest—and most local—show of the year, and we can’t wait to share it with you. The halls will be filled with an incredible line-up of vendors, offering everything from knitting and crochet supplies to the latest crafting inspiration.
We’re especially excited to launch our brand-new yarn range: Town & Country. The first base, Tweedie 4 Ply, will make its debut at the show, and we can’t wait for you to be the first to see it in person!
🎟 To celebrate, we’re giving away 4 pairs of free tickets (valid on all days except Saturday). Keep an eye out for details on how to win your entry to London’s most beloved craft event.
And the excitement doesn’t stop there… Stephen West (Westknits / Stephen & Penelope) will be hosting the Knitting Lounge on Friday 10th. Whatever he has planned, you know it’ll be creative, colorful, and full of fun!
