Woolwich Works, London

Make Joy

We are celebrating all things crafty and yarnie at Make Joy, a one day curated craft show housed in a fabulous historic building in Woolwich.

We would love for you to join us at the mini marketplace with a small but considered selection of makers. Throughout the day you can enjoy free talks by Syliva Watts-Cherry and Helda Panagary, and partake in a knitters’ question time presented by Wild & Wooly x Knit15

Chat and chill with friends in the makers lounge and sip a prosecco

Early Bird tickets are £5 - visit Woolwich Works to book your ticket

what we do…

We are a small female run yarn company, specialising in unique hand dyed yarn, nestled into a dye shack on the edge of London, UK.

All our yarns are kettle dyed in small batches by Leila, the founder of the company, who takes inspiration from the vast, historical, busy and beautiful city of London, as well as her other numerous interests of the mythical, fantastical and cosmic kind.

Our yarn is sourced mainly from Britain or in the case of merino stock from a small holding consortium in South America where they don’t practice ‘mulesing’, we believe our patronage helps support the small holding farmers both here in the UK and in South America, which are vital part of local communities and regional economies.

The yarn range we carry consists of soft, smooth fibres such as Yak, Silk, Merino, Linen and Cashmere blends. These fibres are known to be kind on the skin, perfect for knitting and crochet. We love the rustic wooliness of a Corriedale, Zwartbles or Hebridean mix and may well add them to our stock in the future.

To take a closer look at all of our wonderful colours visit our gallery page or take a look at our store page to see what’s available and in stock right now
